Wednesday 8th June – bike **** – Two rivers, Deben to the Orwell – sunny and warm.

The day started off cloudy with some rain but that soon cleared away and sunshine arrived allowing me to do my exercises in the garden which became pretty warm too:) I had one eye on the wind hoping for a windsurf, I got close to hitching my trailor for a trip to The Manor or Levington but changed my mind last minute with the winds looking marginal, so had lunch with Mag before heading out on my bike with fingers crossed there were no showers as the sky was now full of some impressive clouds! Mag stayed at home to bake for our visit to see our Grandson on Friday, I headed down to the prom turning left taking photos as usual enroute. At the Fludgers I headed inland a short way before re-joining the prom At Brackenbury cliffs, past The Dip and golf course leading to Felixstowe Ferry. I stop here for my cake and to watch the ferry go back and forth. Though the boat yard and out onto the Deben path turning off along Marsh Lane with some really black clouds approaching but luckily there were only a few spots of rain! On through The Grove and Abbey woods to Langer Park and onto the view point by Felixstowe docks just in time to see a large container ship leave! Back through Landguard Nature reserve and onto the prom and home where Mag had finished cooking and was relaxing in our very pretty little garden which is in full bloom:) The wind had really picked up now in fact the westerly wind exceeded 20 knots all afternoon so those who went to the Stour for a late sail to catch the tide probably had a good sail! Might be enough wind tomorrow for a sail, then I miss a breezy Fri/Sat but hopefully some wind next week, very mild too!
